LinuxBCN

Technology consultancy specialising in digital identity, web development and custom applications.

We work with free software. We host data with European providers, preferably Catalan ones. We design systems that clients can understand, maintain and control.

Since 2001, with no dependency on Google, Meta or the major technology platforms.

Behind LinuxBCN is Joan «Linux» Martínez, founder and project coordinator, working with a team of specialist collaborators in design, content, infrastructure and digital communication.

How we work

Every project starts with the same question: What is the minimum system that will solve the real problem?

   We understand where the project comes from and where it wants to go. No assumptions, no pre-cooked solutions.

   Diagnosis

   We assess what exists, what's needed, and what's surplus. The minimum system that solves the real problem.

   Build

   We design and implement with free software and tools the client can maintain without us.

4. 04
   Support

   Training and support until the system is truly theirs. Dependence on us must be minimal.

Convictions we don’t negotiate

• No Google

  No Analytics, no Fonts, no Maps, no Tag Manager. Google is the business model that normalised mass surveillance as a service.

• No Kit Digital

  Spain's digital subsidy scheme concentrates public resources in large tech integrators without the beneficiary gaining real sovereignty.

• No artificial dependencies

  We don't take on projects that require what we won't do. And we don't build systems that chain clients to us indefinitely.

• Data in Europe

  European providers, preferably Catalan. Our clients' data stays on the European continent, under legislation that protects them.
