From LinuxBCN.com we have just published the new website of Terra i Foc, the artisanal ceramics workshop founded in 1969 by Joan Martínez Peidro and Isabel Serres in the Penedès region. A history of over fifty years of clay, fire and hands that now has a place to tell itself to the world.
A bilingual site (Catalan and English) that gathers the memory of the workshop in five main sections:
Joan Linux Martínez has been photographing jazz, blues, theatre, flamenco and performing arts in Barcelona since 2010. For years, his website lived on WordPress. In 2026, we migrated everything to Hugo and GitHub Pages. This is what we built and why.
pocallum.cat is the professional website of Pocallum, a cultural photography service specialising in live music, theatre and dance. The site brings together 152 photographs, 27 festivals, 11 news articles, services and contact pages, static internal search and a custom analytics dashboard. All of it in Catalan and English.
Ressona was born from the convergence of two trajectories: Pocallum, with years of accompanying artists in photography and visual identity, and LinuxBCN, building web infrastructure with free software. The result is a brand designed for musicians, actors, dancers, visual artists and emerging creators who need a solid digital presence without sacrificing coherence.
The name comes from ressonar (to resonate): to echo, to vibrate. A digital identity should do exactly that — amplify what the artist already is.
Bratia is a Barcelona band formed by musicians with international careers — Ivan Kovačević, Pere Nolasc Plana, Victor Paradis, Julien Chanal and Stelios Togias — specialising in the fusion of manouche jazz, Balkan music and gypsy jazz.
The previous website was a heavy, hard-to-maintain WordPress that required technical intervention for any change. The real problem: touring musicians don’t have time to manage websites.
An active band needs the website to update itself.
Machiroku is a small family restaurant specialising in authentic Japanese cuisine in the heart of Barcelona.
The previous website was a conventional WordPress: functional, but heavy, hard to maintain and with no adaptation to the restaurant’s real needs.
A restaurant needs to update its menu, opening hours and notices frequently. With WordPress, every change required accessing a complex manager or depending on someone external.
Nau Bostik is a self-managed sociocultural space in the Sagrera neighbourhood, Barcelona. Intense activity, diverse community, constant agenda and completely horizontal management.
Our relationship with the project has had two distinct stages.
When the old website stopped working, the situation needed an immediate response. We built a functional, stable and clean site in the shortest possible time: enough to maintain the space’s digital presence while the real solution was being prepared.
In 2020, Llumàtics launched with a standard WordPress setup. It worked, but each season the project demanded more: new sections, documentation for students, integration between the schedule and courses, faster load times… The general-purpose CMS had become a bottleneck.
In 2026 we migrated to a site built from scratch with Hugo: multilingual architecture, high performance, and a structure designed specifically for an analogue photography school.
A.W.P.C.P. organises the Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day in Barcelona since 2011. Every last Sunday of April, photographers around the world shoot a pinhole camera at the same moment. Barcelona has participated since the first edition.
The website had been running on a WordPress server with fourteen years of accumulated content. In 2024 we migrated it to Hugo + GitHub Pages: no server, no database, all content versioned in Git.
MalditasMaquinas is an on-demand technology consultancy service for artists, freelancers and small businesses. A merger of two brands with over 20 years of history: MalditasMaquinas.com and MacBCN.com.
The model is simple and clean: clients buy a prepaid block of hours and submit technical queries by email from their private area. No hours, no support. No subscriptions, no monthly commitments.
All business logic runs on Cloudflare Workers — no central server, no single point of failure. The database is D1 (SQLite distributed across Cloudflare’s global network), sessions are handled with KV, and consultation attachments are stored in R2. Authentication uses magic links with JWT in an HttpOnly cookie — no passwords, no leaks.
Carrer is the publication of FAVB — the Federation of Neighbourhood Associations of Barcelona — with decades of experience defending neighbourhood rights.
The challenge was to bring a consolidated print publication to the internet without losing its editorial essence.
We built the project from scratch with two clear axes:

FAVB is one of the oldest and most representative neighbourhood organisations in Barcelona.
Consolidated digital presence, complex content management and a digital ecosystem that needs to be maintained with criteria and without breaking what works.

Pocallum is a Barcelona photography agency with a very defined identity and an unconventional way of working.
Current website in WordPress, under review. A close project where technology and photographic vision must go completely hand in hand.
Family Art Tattoo is a tattoo studio in Barcelona with a clear philosophy: accompanying the client through the entire body decoration process, from first contact to aftercare.
This way of understanding the service needed a digital presence that expressed it. Not a photo catalogue, but a real communication tool.
Custom WordPress theme, built from scratch
Designed and developed entirely to specification, with a dark and expressive aesthetic coherent with the world of tattooing. No purchased templates, no third-party visual frameworks. The design was born from the project, not the other way around.
For years, 9 Barris Acull was one of the reference organisations for the reception and support of newcomers in the Nou Barris district of Barcelona. Hundreds of cases annually, thousands of accumulated users, and a solid track record of rigorous, necessary social work.
The withdrawal of public funding forced its closure.
We keep the website open as a testimony to work well done.
The WordPress design was not our work, but many of the communication strategies were — and above all, the most important tool in the project: a web application developed with Drupal that centralised all of the organisation’s internal management.
